MouthWatch Intraoral Camera Care and Cleaning Instructions
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MouthWatch Intraoral Camera or MouthWatch Plus+ HD Intraoral Camera, it’s important to follow proper care and cleaning procedures.
Follow the guidelines below for best image quality and infection control.
DO
- Use OptiClear™ Intraoral Camera Sleeves with every patient for the best image quality and infection control.
- To clean the camera, squeeze excess moisture from an isopropyl alcohol wipe and gently wipe the camera and cable, avoiding excessive moisture on the lens.
DON’T
- Do not spray air or water directly on the lens/light assembly.
- Do not autoclave or submerge the camera.
- Do not clean the camera with products that include trichloroethylene, dichloroethylene, aromatic and chloride hydrocarbons, methylene chloride, or ketones, such as degreasers, solvent cleaners, adhesive and spot removers, and metal cleaners and polishes.
- Do not use disinfectant chemical wipes such as CaviWipes or Optim Wipes, as they may damage the lens.
- Do not wipe the lens excessively, as this may result in fogging.
