Instructions for XDR Integration
MouthWatch cameras easily integrate with XDR imaging software. Use the MouthWatch camera to capture images of the patient and store them directly into the patient record.
XDR does not require the MouthWatch Button Capture Software. Ignore the instruction card included with the camera and do not download Button Capture.
Step 1 – Plug in the MouthWatch Camera
Make sure you plug the USB connector into a powered USB port. Sometimes these are located on the front or back of the computer. If your monitor or USB hub has USB ports, these may not be powered.
If setting up a MouthWatch Plus+, use a USB 3.0 port.
Step 2 – Open Settings
Click Settings on the left side of your screen.
Step 3 – Confirm Advanced Video Capture Settings
Within the Settings screen, click the Advanced Settings tab at the top.
- Under Video Capture, confirm WDM is selected.
- Click OK or Save.
Step 4 – Start a Fast Image
- From the main menu, click Fast Image.
- Select Video.
Step 5 – Set Video Details
When the XDR video capture window opens, configure the following:
- Select USB Video Device from the device menu.
- Select 640×480 or 1920×1080 (Plus+ cameras only) from the video size options.
Step 6 – Capture Images
- Pressing the capture button will freeze and save images to the bottom of the screen.
- When finished, close the capture window to assign the images to the patient record.
Step 7 – All Set!
You are now ready to begin capturing images directly into XDR.
