Patient Portal and Provider Messaging
Providers will now have a messaging tab that allows them to send secure messages to providers in their group and to their patients. Providers are able to share images and treatment plans as well.
Inviting a Patient
Patients can be invited to the portal when a new patient is created and also from the patient record if they already exist in the system. An email address must be entered before a patient can be invited to the portal.
When a provider invites a patient to the portal, the patient will receive an email with a link to the site and a temporary password.
To enter the portal the patient will enter first name, last name, date of birth and the temporary password found in the invitation email. If the patient is a child and the parent or guardian is registering, they will need to enter the child’s name and date of birth.
The patient will be asked to set a new password.
When the patient has logged in to the portal they will have access to the messages sent by their provider and they can send messages to their provider.
A provider can see the status of the patients invitation in the patient record.
