Patients can be invited to the portal when a new patient record is created and also from an existing patient record. An email address is required to invite a patient to the portal.
To invite a patient to the portal while creating their patient record, enter their email address and check the Invite to Patient Portal box.
If your patient already has a record in TeleDent you can invite them from the patient details page found in the Patients tab. An email address is required and can be added in Patient details. When you have added the email, click Invite Patient to Portal.
Your patient will receive an email with a link to register.
The patient will be prompted to set and confirm a password.
When they click submit they will be taken into the patient portal where they can receive and send messages.
You will be able to see the status of the patient's invitation in the patient record. It will either be pending or complete.
If the invitation is still pending you can resend the invitation email by clicking the Resend Email link in the patient record.
