A video call can be initiated from a message history by clicking the “Call” button at the top of the messaging screen.
However, you can also begin a new video conference by navigating to the Messages page and clicking “New Message”.
Recipients must be connected to the internet to join video call.
Providers who are online will also have a green dot next to their profile picture.
To initiate a video call with a single provider or patient, click “New Message” and enter the recipient in the provided field.
To initiate a multi-party video call, enter multiple users in the provided field.
Click on the “Call” button to send invitation(s) to a video chat room.
The invitation to the video call will now appear in your message history.
Click on the “Click here” button to enter your video chat room.
A new browser window will automatically open to launch the video call.
Once the recipient(s) have accepted the invitation, they will join you in your video chat room.
To leave a video chat room, click “Exit.”
Note: A video chat room does not expire once it is created. The invited parties may and exit and reenter at any time, even without the initial host.
Note: While you can initiate a video call with a patient, a patient cannot initiate a video call with you.
Initiating Provider Calls with Quick Call
Quickly set up a video conference with providers by clicking on the “Quick Call” video button at the bottom of any page.
Add providers from the Invite Users panel.
Click “Create Video Session”
Click “Go to Video Session” on the Video Session Details page.
Your video chat room will open in a new window and you may begin as your participants enter the room.
