One of the benefits of TeleDent video chat is the ability to capture data during a call.
You may capture recorded video as well as screenshots.
Recording Video
To record a video during your chat, click the “Recording” button.
Once you begin recording, the “Recording” button will turn red and flash and send a notification to everyone on the call
To stop recording, click the “Recording” button.
Do not exit the video call until the recording has been uploaded. If you attempt to close out before the upload is complete, you will be notified. You will be asked to assign the Recording to a patient after you click EXIT.
Capturing images
To capture a screenshot during a video recording, click the camera icon on the screen you wish to capture.
The image will be saved to the cloud. Once you hit Exit, you will be prompted to assign all images captured to the patient's Collected Data.
Storing Captured Data
After you exit the video chat room, TeleDent will ask you if you’d like to store captured data in a particular patient record.
To do so:
- Type the name of the patient in the field.
- Select the data you wish to store by clicking on the checkboxes.
- Click “Submit”.
Your data will now be found in the patient’s Collected Data tab of their record.
Forgot to assign the media?
No worries. You can enter the video call again. Click the Exit button and you will be prompted to assign any recordings or images collected during the video call session.
