The video call feature of TeleDent integrates live video communication into your teledentistry practice. This feature functions similarly to other commercially available video conference apps, such as Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime. It includes such features as:
- Secure screen sharing
- Live chat bar
- Recording and screen capturing capabilities
- Multi-party video conferencing
In addition to your webcam, you can also access a live feed from your intraoral camera.
Video conferencing with patients can be used for remote patient appointments, such as consultations, follow-ups for a procedure, and for discussing a proposed treatment plan. The combination of the webcam and the intraoral camera allows for providers to conduct a thorough examination.
For provider-to-provider conferencing, the video call feature enables multiple providers to share screens, and jointly view records, images, documents, and scans.
|Note: Any time a video conference is initiated, all recipients receive an email or SMS text invitation with a link to join the call. This is particularly useful for patients who are not part of the Patient Portal.
