Common Dexis 9 Issues.
-
Button works but the preview window freezes & doesn't return to video?
Verify "Dexis 9" is selected from the MouthWatch Capture software. If you have an older version of MouthWatch Capture, you will select “T Space” instead of “Dexis 9”
-
Camera Window opens blank and when you take an image a random image appears?
This will mean the Deximage setting is still on simulation. Access these settings from the Dexis Administration page by clicking on the wrench icon located in the top right corner. Select the DEXImage tab to access imaging settings. Under Video Hardware select WDM 640x480 or 1920x1080 (Plus+ Camera Only)
- Camera shows blank or black window but you can see image after capturing?
To resolve this condition you must go into your File explorer. From there you will go to "This PC" > C:/ > Program files(x_86)>MouthWatch capture > Files> Dentrix image fixes then double click on Whitescreen fix_x64. That should take care of that issue.

Camera Window Won't Open at all?
Open Deximage settings as shown above, select simulation from the Video Hardware menu, hit done. Open camera as usual, it will open the window but be blank. Go back to Deximage and put Video Hardware back to 640x480.
- Dexis Registration expired?
If you are seeing a popup message similar to the one below and are unable to open your camera, your DexImage license may be expired. You will want to follow the instructions on the popup message from your software to get in contact with Dexis to renew your license for DexImage.
